Why is my account Closed or Inactive in Mint?

SOLVEDBy Mint32Updated May 17, 2022

If one of your accounts in Mint has gone missing, it may have been closed or marked inactive. There are several reasons why:

  • The account is no longer available at your bank's website
  • Your account was migrated to a more secure connection
  • Your bank has limited third-party access to your financial data
  • Your bank temporarily suspended or locked your account
    • Sign in to your bank's website to check for any alerts or messages indicating the account is inactive or requires your attention
  • The account number changed because you were issued a new credit card
    • In most cases, a new account will be automatically generated in Mint. If that doesn’t happen, go to Settings (it's the gear icon in the app), select your account, and select Edit Login

Make sure that your account isn't accidentally hidden. You can go here to change it back to active. If you're unable to restore your account, you can always re-add it.
