How can I hide a duplicate transaction?

SOLVEDby TurboTax235Updated over 1 year ago

To mark a transaction as a duplicate:

  1. Sign in to Mint.com on your web browser. This can’t be done in the mobile app
  2. Select Transactions from the side menu
  3. Select Edit next to the transaction you wish to mark as a duplicate
  4. Check the box that says Mark as duplicate
  5. Select Save

You can also mark multiple transactions as duplicates at once:

  1. Check the box next to each transaction you'd like to mark as a duplicate
  2. Select Edit Multiple at the top of the page
  3. Check the box that says Mark as duplicate
  4. Select Save

The duplicate transaction will still appear in your transactions list, but will have a duplicate transaction icon displayed. Transactions marked as duplicate will also removed from Budgets and Trends.

You can hide duplicate transactions from view (Web) by selecting the gear cog in the top right of the transactions list, and select "Hide duplicate transactions". The same can be reversed to "Show hidden transactions".

If you think you have duplicate accounts that are creating duplicate transactions, you can hide the account or mark it as inactive.
